For manufacturers · entering the German market

Your equipment is not rejected. It is never considered.

A planner specifies what can be planned. Without a model, without German technical data and without dimensioning input, your unit does not lose a comparison — it never enters one. That is a quiet failure: no enquiry arrives, no objection is raised, and nobody tells you why.

In short

We build the planning groundwork that lets equipment from outside Germany be specified in German cultivation projects: German technical data with dimensioning input, models a planner can place, and installation specifications an installer can follow. You keep the files. No German subsidiary required.

01 / The gap

Why is our equipment not specified? What stands between it and a German project.

Three observations we hear from manufacturers, and what follows from each. None of them is about product quality.

Observation

No models, no capacity to build them

Planners place what they can place. A unit without geometry and without dimensioning input is not compared and found wanting — it is simply not in the drawing.

Observation

No planning support offered

Enquiries that need planning input stall, or move to a supplier who provides it. The enquiry does not come back with a question; it does not come back at all.

Observation

Faults that start at installation

One manufacturer told us that around nine in ten service cases originate in installation errors, not in the unit. Every case costs a journey, technician hours and spare parts — and in a market that runs on recommendation, reputation.

Consequence

The cost of doing it in-house

Running a German company with two to three people is commonly calculated at 250,000 to 500,000 euros per year. Documentation is a fraction of that — and it is the part that decides whether your unit appears in a plan.

If one installation film prevents one service case in ten, the work has paid for itself. We say that as a hypothesis to be measured on your own numbers, not as a promise.

02 / What you get

What exactly do you deliver? Three groups, bookable separately.

Visible

Show it instead of describing it

Dimensionally accurate 3D models, geometry a customer can turn in a browser, and image material of the unit. What your sales team currently explains in words becomes something a customer can look at.

Understandable

Explain it once, not in every meeting

Films on the operating principle and on assembly and maintenance sequence. Without voice-over, with text inserts — so the same film works in every language without re-recording.

Plannable

Make it specifiable

German data sheets with dimensioning input, planning models in RVT or IFC, and installation and commissioning specifications. This is the group that decides whether your unit enters a plan — and whether it is installed correctly.

03 / Rights

Who owns the files? You do — not us.

Everything we produce is yours to use without limit in time or territory, and it is transferable. You may pass it to distributors and customers and use it in your own media. The one condition is a credit to the originator — as a text field in the model parameters and as a short end card in the films. We mention this early because it is the question most manufacturers do not ask out loud.

04 / Boundaries

What we do not do — and why saying so matters.

A supplier who claims everything is hard to check. These are the limits, stated before you ask.

Not us

Certification

Certification under RLT Guideline 01, Eurovent or VDI 6022 stays with you, as do CE marking and conformity. We work with the data you hold; we do not attest it.

Not us

Both sides of one project

We plan facilities for operators. Where we do that, we do not also represent a supplier bidding into the same project. The conflict is easier to avoid than to explain later.

Not us

Translation by geometry

A model without words travels; a data sheet does not. Text remains subject to the official language requirement, so German documentation is written, not exported.

We take on equipment when it is available on the German market, when the technical data is supplied in full — dimensions, connections, performance curves, sound data — and when CE marking and conformity sit with you.

05 / Who we are

We plan the facilities your equipment goes into.

Cultivatec plans indoor cultivation facilities in Germany — climate control, ventilation, room envelope, irrigation and controls — for operators, from the survey through to handover. That is the main business, and it is why this offer exists: we spend our working days on the receiving end of manufacturer documentation and know precisely where it fails.

We are a planning practice, not a general contractor and not a distributor. Our owner is Paul Tiedje. The work described here is produced by us and delivered to you; what happens with it afterwards is your decision.

FAQ

Questions we are asked most often.

01Do we need a German subsidiary to sell equipment in Germany?

Not to be specified. What German projects require is documentation a planner can work with: technical data in German, dimensioning input, and installation specifications. Running a German company with two to three people costs roughly 250,000 to 500,000 euros per year. The documentation layer is a fraction of that and is what actually decides whether your equipment appears in a plan.

02Why is our equipment not specified in German projects?

Because a planner specifies what can be planned. Without a model, without German technical data and without dimensioning input, the equipment does not lose a comparison — it never enters one. That is the difference between being rejected and being absent.

03What exactly do you deliver?

Three groups. Visible: dimensionally accurate 3D models, browser-viewable geometry, image material. Understandable: films on the operating principle and on assembly and maintenance, without voice-over, so they work in any language. Plannable: German data sheets with dimensioning input, planning models in RVT or IFC, and installation and commissioning specifications.

04Who owns the files you produce?

You do. Unlimited in time and territory, transferable, usable in your own media and by your distributors and customers. The one condition is a credit to the originator — as a text field in the model parameters and as a short end card in the films.

05Do you certify our equipment?

No. Certification under RLT Guideline 01, Eurovent or VDI 6022 remains the manufacturer’s obligation, and so does CE marking and conformity. We work with the data you provide and make it usable for German planning practice.

06Do you also plan the projects themselves?

Yes, for operators — that is our main business. It is also why we never act on both sides of the same project. If we plan a facility, we do not simultaneously represent a supplier bidding into it.

Send us one unit. We will show you what it becomes.

Twenty minutes, no obligation. You see the result on your own product rather than on an example, and you decide afterwards whether it is worth anything to you.
